Description

Easy Money, No Sweat began as a book titled Real Money. This edition substantially revises, expands, and reorganizes that earlier work.

It takes the form of a conversation between a human and an AI about a simple question: how can I make enough money to work as little as possible? The answers are taken seriously. The strategies discussed are real. Some are practical. Some are absurd. Many are both.

As the conversation unfolds, the subject gradually shifts. Passive income remains the point of entry, but the discussion widens into something else: work itself, why it occupies so much of contemporary life, why leisure so often demands justification, and why exhaustion is still mistaken for virtue.

The AI is neither hero nor villain. It is credited as a collaborator and allowed to answer for itself. Sometimes its advice is useful. Sometimes it circles back on itself. Over time, the repetition becomes part of the conversation.

The book moves between self-help, comedy, performance, and criticism without settling comfortably into any one of them. It offers genuine ways of generating income while remaining skeptical of the assumptions that make those methods seem necessary in the first place.

The tone is dry, skeptical, occasionally hostile, and largely uninterested in encouragement. The book isn't interested in proving that work is meaningless. It's more interested in asking why so much meaning has been attached to work in the first place.

Ultimately, Easy Money, No Sweat is less interested in money than in time. It asks what life might look like if earning a living occupied less of it.

Easy Money No Sweat

The cover design of Easy Money No Sweat is a reference to the 1983, Black & Red Press, Detroit edition of Guy Debord’s Society of the Spectacle (originally published in 1967).

Easy Money, No Sweat is a staged conversation between a human and an AI about making a living without working. A guide, a satire, and a performance, it plays the passive-income game while quietly dismantling it.
